The Aviator

Last week, a friend of mine got me two addons for FS2004. The first was Radar Contact. I had heard about it but never tried it. This addon is simply amazing as it blows away the crappy default ATC in FS2004. You can read a small blurb about it (along with a link) in the FS Addons page.

The second item was "Around The World In 80 Flights" by First Class Simulations. From the FCS website..."Each of the 80 flight legs can be flown as individual or consecutive missions and are comprehensively detailed, with a flight plan, pilots notes, full briefing and a guide to many of the wonders of the world that pass beneath your wings. From man-made wonders such as the Great Pyramids and the Golden Gate Bridge, to natural wonders such as Mount Kilimanjaro, the Sahara Desert, the Indonesian Archipelago and the Grand Canyon, the entire route has been carefully chosen to showcase the breathtaking beauty of the planet."

Sounds rather interesting. I plan on starting the first leg, Farnborough UK (EGLF) to Paris Orly (LFPO), today and hopefully complete all 80 flights over the next few months. Each leg will be detalied in the flight info pages. Wish me luck!!!

Earlier this evening, my FSPassengers database got corrupted. The good news is I kept a backup copy. The bad news is that the backup was made on January 8th. Twenty-five flights over the past two months have been lost. That really sucks!!! I have updated the flight info pages on this site so that the local and site databases are in-sync.

The Aviator takes to the skies!!! This site was created for three main reasons: 1) A home for my virtual airline Cathay Pacific 2) A place to share my Flight Simulator hobby 3) A place to share the many documentaries I have about aviation. Currently, the site design and layout is very basic. Over time, it will evolve and expand.
